Highway 113: A Demand and Strategic Context Focus StudyCarried out for the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Public Works, a review of the forecast travel demand for a rural freeway linking Highway 102 and Highway 103 was conducted. Our transportation modeling efforts utilized the established Halifax Regional Municipality’s regional transportation model (QRS II) to carry out the evaluation process. Our findings determined that there was in fact a significant travel demand for this link and the Department used this information as part of an overall needs assessment for corridor preservation purposes. Our report can be found at the following link. http://www.gov.ns.ca/enla/ea/highway113/Hwy113_app_a.pdf « Return to Trasportation Systems Analysis
